Perception

We are told time and time again by society that stress is EVIL. They say stress will ultimately lead to you having an unhealthy life which may in some cases cause mortality.
Kelly Mcgonigal, a health psychologist, gave a short presentation concerning stress, but in a different perspective. Throughout the speech she cites studies showing an increase in mortality with those who experienced moderate amounts of stress as opposed to those those who did not.

A more intriguing study done at Harvard that she discussed said yes, mortality increased as stress increased but only when those who experienced stress  believed it would be detrimental to their health!  If you need a second to let that sink it don't worry its normal.

She goes on to further  state that there was virtually no difference in mortality rates in those who have NO STRESS and those who DID HAVE STRESS but believed it to be helpful.  These results drive home the idea that how we perceive the world directly impacts our lives. Some call this self fulling prophecy, but its only self fulling if you choose it to be.  So I want you to right now pick an area of your life where you have failed, come up short, or just at a place where you don't want to be. It doesn't matter  if its financial, employment or relationship wise  review your perception of that situation.

If you find yourself already placing a losing banner on the situation STOP IT. Just make a clear definite  choice that you will from this point forward incorporate a ray of positive energy into your situation. It could be believing "yes I don't like my job but i will find one that gives me more meaning" or "yes we aren't in a good spot relationship wise, but we will work through it. It is all a matter of small PERCEPTIONAL CHANGES day by day that lead to building a PHENOMENAL EXISTENCE.  W.B. Yates said " The world is full of magical things, patiently waiting for our sense to grow sharper". So sharpen your sense and live life.
