Week Break

Daily antics: This afternoon

I guess these daily antics are not really being so daily, so I will try a little better about providing some more reads. Aside from moving from the bed to the couch I haven't taken on much of any physical labor today. I think we're all deserving of at least one of those days a week, right? 

If anyone out there has suburb fireplace starting skills I applaud you. For what feels like the 30th time I attempted to start a little fire only to have the entire house be engulfed in smoke! I don't understand this contraption. Even when I open the vent the place still looks like the inside of a cloud. I guess this is natures way of telling me to stick to the heater and blankets from this point moving forward. 

Now today was suppose to be my day off, but I decided to pick up a night shift, bills never sleep after all. I just watched this really neat documentary about Burts Shavitz on Netflix. For those that dont know he is the co-founder of Burts Bees. I recommend if you have time, to watch it in its entirety! 

I'll close with saying that young cats can be extremely annoying at times, specifically mine. A guy can only take the constant meows and the picking up of a knocked downed Christmas tree so many times before taking them out to the pasture starts sounding like a good idea, but alas I love the little guy.

Todays adventures

Well today ended up being more productive than I thought. I was woken up by this little guy because he was hungry only to have him fall back to sleep 10 minutes later. I guess that's how it goes with pets. 

Needed to get a couple of t-shirts for work tomorrow and decided to hit  Club Ross. Their Mens section is a joke in case any guy had a sudden urge to make a Ross run. The only thing it really caters to are xxl men and lumberjacks who have an unhealthy relationship with plaid. I did see this, for what it's worth. It clearly depicts the average drama queens...right?

After clothes shopping I went to check out Barnes and Noble and walked out with this (paid for of course..this time). After listening to a lot of his audio feeds I decided to invest in what he is selling :P

Megan's (my girlfriend) mother decided to treat us to lunch so we decided to kill some time at Party City. There are a lot of interesting novelty costumes there to keep immature people like myself busy for hours.  If you have any mentally  deranged children there is a plethera of youth gore costumes paying homage to blood and guts!  Side note, I found these rats..idk why I took their picture but here they are.

After lunch we decided to check out this frozen ice cream place called "Sub-Zero" I feel like if you're going to take the name of one of the greatest Mortal Kombat characters you better have a product that will blow my mind with tantalizing tastes fit for a Nordic god. This place apparently didn't get the memo so I settled for a side of cherries. Their gimmick is they freeze the ice-cream mix in front of you with liquid nitrogen, which is cool I guess. It did make me imagine a scenario where the liquid nitrogen container explodes and we all turn out like the bad terminator in T2 did when Arnie crashed the nitrogen truck.

Finally back home we found this little guy in a bush! Turns out his mother was in the area bathing. So Megan took the little one and sat him on the sidewalk  where the mother could see it. She trotted right over and ushered her kitty to follow her to a secret hideout. Who would of thought!

The beginning of now

Good evening,  I welcome you all to the kickoff of my first blog. They say no man (or woman) is an island... and that much is true. We as a collective society like to be heard... to be seen...to be loved! It is in that truth that magical things have the potential to happen. Things that touch the lives of everyone we encounter, that give us purpose, that give us meaning! The very core of this belief of course is creation. We create every second that we are on this earth and those creations are a bi-product of the choices and decisions that we make. For some those choices and decisions are clear and concise, for others,  shrouded in uncertainty. By expanding our minds and hearts we can rid ourselves of this uncertainty and begin to truly improve the quality of our lives. The first step is to be curious. It was curiosity that led you to this page. That action alone has now exponentially guided your existence to many different possibilities and outcomes. The journey starts now and what I hope for you to get out of my posts from here on out is to challenge your archaic perceptions of the world. To quote Jeff Taffer "I'm here to change the way you think... and if i can change the way you think... I cant help but change what you do , can I?"
